3D Model Visualization & Design

Doing a living room refresh project like the SORRD could not been done without some 3D modelling and prewiz. On this page you will see what was needed to get a pretty clear picture of how things would look before the construction and design took place.

The modelling was done in Lightwave 8.5/9.0 in real scale down to the centimeter. As you can see the 3D scene setup is not 100% similar to the physical final result. This because I was too busy doing the actual work physically instead of doing all in a 3D environment. It was used as a pretty helpful guideline, and there was no need to keep updating the 3D model when I saw what to do and how to fit the physical furnitures in the real world anyway.

All 3d models of furnitures was designed by myself after the actual product or just by looking at the specifications found on Internet.

The 3D model design phase took about 2 weeks over a 4-5 months period.
