Album information
The idea for the name Bakka Baou came from myself. It was the words I told to friends, when I was trying to explain to them how the acid Roland TB-303 bassline sounded like! Since the album is quite influenced by the 303-style, it was clear that the name had to be The Bakka Baou Project. The acid sound! Bakka-Bakka-Baou-Biou-Baou! The album is a mix between using just samples and software to a slight crossover to physical instruments. The album contains extended versions for some of the tracks, including a special Lo-Fi section with additional bonus tracks. The Lo-Fi section contains a few earlier tracks I did, and the bonus section contains tracks that never made it to the final and full version, but was anyway included on this album. Commercial Coverage
During 1998 and 1999 I shipped around demos of The Bakka Baou Project album to some record companies (with no luck of course). So I tried a Norwegian Radio DJ Show called "Stift" with Einar Klomsten that ran for 1-2 years on Norway's biggest commercial radio channel NRKP3. The tracks were also played during later occasions on the same radio channel. Here is a proof html of my very first demo ever aired commercially. :) < To celebrate the 10 year awesome anniversary of such an event, here they are :-) PS! It's actually more than "15 minutes of fame" - 19 minutes actually, so I guess "In 15 minutes everybody will be famous" could be a reality for me as I have stepped over the threshold, whohoo!
