Download/View music video (18mb .wmv) Download/View The Making of music video (58mb .wmv)This music video was the latest and greatest we ever did. It features a great deal of detail and tight editing. Even those small visual effects are noticed and re-created in our look-a-like video by using early 3d software and video paint editing software in 1998. It was edited on Adobe Premiere 4.2. Summary: - Filmed on 17th and 24th of July 1998 in Nedre Vats, Norway. - Worktime for filming: 9 hours split on 2 days. - Worktime for editing: 15 days, (around 150 hours) - Worktime for effects: 5 days, (around 42 hours) - Total time spent: 21 days (201 hours) - Total amount of money used: 400,- NOK or $51 USD Technical Equipment used: - Panasonic MS4 SVHS - Main camera. - Panasonic NV-FS88 HQ SVHS - Playback and record. - P300MMX/128mb/9.8gb/Software - All editing/CG work. - MiroVideo DC30 - Framegrabber in S-VHS, capturing of raw-footage. - Commodore 1084s - Videomonitor at location and in studio. How we did it: We had the orginal Poison music video by Prodigy inserted into a videoplayer and watched it second for second, to see what scene we would have to film next. We placed the camera, agreed on how it would move, tried different lamps, we moved ourselves into position, put on some music and filmed each scene 3-4 times. This to ensure that I had enough material for the final editing. The whole thing went very smooth, and we had no problems at all, well actually there was one light bulb that went into the floor, I am afraid :((( Shame, because it was brand new 100w bulb. Another neat thing: We had about 2 hours of raw footage, edited down to 4 minutes:) Where did the rest go? Well, we also made The Making Of Poison running for 12 minutes. Actors: Maxim Reality - played by Geir Vidar Tveit (The vocalist) Keith Flint - played by Stein Eikesdal (The twisted maniac) Liam Howlett - played by Tor Lærdal (The drummer) (Sorry, we did not include Leeroy, we had a hard time finding someone to play him) Technical Crew: Lars S.O. - Camera operator Peder Lærdal - Light & playback operator. Ragnar Finnvik - Light operator All other work done by: Stein Eikesdal from Eikesdal Movie Effects(EMvFX) (We tried to copy ALL of the computer effects that Prodigy had hidden in their Poison video) (Watch very closely and you will see them also, they are quite cool) Thanks must go to the following people: Tore Nordtveit and Heidi Nygård - bought a new house, and let us use the cellar for location. Leif Ånestad Johannessen - for lending us his drums Trygve Meland - for helping us with the drumset-search. Ragnar Finnvik - for providing us with the nesscessary harddisk-space (4.3gb) All the positive feedback we get from the local community and those who have seen it! To Prodigy for making such cool music for our heads! And actually, without them, nothing of this would ever happen in the first place...
The Firestarter (Prodigy) - 50% Look-a-like video
Download/View music video (19mb .wmv)Summary: - Filmed on 12th may 1996 in Middels Vats, Norway. - Worktime for filming: 8 hours straight! - Total amount of clips: 150, lasting around 2.5seconds each. - Total amount of money used: 90,- NOK or $11 - Won 3rd place in the wild competition during The Gathering 1997. Technical Equipment used: - JVC-GR60E VHS-C - Video camera used for editing on location! - JVC-GR707 SVHS-C- Monitor/playbackcam for orginal Firestarter. - Self build amplifier - Connected to the JVC camera, using realtime playback when recording. How we did it: The video was edited on site/realtime, and we had the original Firestarter in another camera, allowing us to see which scenes would come next. This to ensure it came as close as the original as possible. I had about 1-2 seconds before the camera was rolling, to know what was coming next, I just heard the music, and try to remember what Keith did. And try to synchronize my mouth movements to the singing. That was very hard to get right, and sometimes we would retake the whole scene 5-6 times! It all rounded up very well, and the only thing now, I do not like about it; I did not care less for the hair style, I had fairly long hair then, so I just squished a lot of gele and try to make it as wild as possible. Okey, Keith was bold, but I do not like boldness, so the hair style had to change anyway! It would also be pretty silly to walk around back home, looking like Keith did! To get it all going, I watched the original Firestarter video about 30-40 times, so that I had all the right face-expressions, movements of the head, to ensure it would again be as close as the original. For the trousers, I used an old ju-jutsi clothing, and my homemade big ear-rings (key ring cut in two!) Geir Vidar Tveit got a nostril-piercing out of a cut-in-half ring, for instance! For my nose-piercing I used 2 screws, 2 electrical resistors, some soldering iron to make it all clue together! The cool tongue-piercing was made of a black piece of tape glued to the tongue. Actors: Keith Flint - played by Stein Eikesdal Maxim Reality/Leeroy - played by Geir Vidar Tveit Liam Howlett - played by Jon Arvid Kirketeig & Geir Vidar Tveit Technical Crew: Stein Eikesdal, Geir Vidar Tveit - Camera operators. Research, editing etc done by: Stein Eikesdal from Eikesdal Movie Effects(EMvFX) Thanks to: The positive feedback we get from the local community and those who have seen it! (Espescially people from The Gathering 1997 in Hamar). To Prodigy for making such cool music for our heads! And actually, without them, nothing of this would ever happen in the first place:)
Greenhouse Effect (Tony Scott) - 1% Look-a-like video

This was shot on-site in Geir Vidar Tveit's basement living room and was really just me and Geir Vidar playing around a boring Saturday somewhere in the summer of 1992. The music (Greenhouse Effect by Tony Scott) is great (we had it on playback from real time camera), however our acting was not planned at all so it just turned out as a innocent little piece of amateur music video that belongs in the past. Allthough we believe the foot sequence is pretty funny, it turned out to be too long and in the end we had no more ideas to play with so it just ends abruptly.

This was shot on-site in Geir Vidar Tveit's basement living room and outdoor and was really just me and Geir Vidar playing around a boring Saturday somewhere in the summer of 1992. It was made after we saw the results of our Greenhouse Effect (above) some weeks earlier and we wanted to make it even more synched and try to mimic the typical rave style videos of that time on MTV (you know, people outdoor waving hands, freaky colors and rapid breakbeaty dancing!). The music (On a ragga trip by SL2) is super great and we were pretty happy with how the video turned out. It shows some really good rapid dancing, I must admit. I was even more energic on the dance floor when I partied. Too bad I dont' have footage of that. Our acting was not planned in any way, we just put up the camera and acted along, trying to change the scenery as often as possible. Even some good old-school genlock overlay 1 color graphics was switched on the old JVC camera to get some really cheezy old-school rave overlay graphics.

This was shot on-site in Geir Vidar Tveit's outdoor exterior and was really just me and Geir Vidar playing around a boring Saturday somewhere in the summer of 1992. This was the first music video we ever created. We wanted to make it synched and try to mimic the typical rave style videos of that time on MTV (you know, people outdoor waving hands, freaky colors and rapid breakbeaty dancing!). But, since we only had a tape player in the background while recording on-top of the already existing audio on the tape (we just inserted video dub over audio recording on JVC camera) there were some lack of sync. for us to act with. The music (Out of space by Prodigy) is super duper great and we were pretty happy with how the video turned out, regardless of the sync. problems. It shows some really rapid dancing. I was even more energic on the dance floor when I partied. Too bad I dont' have footage of that. Our acting was not planned in any way, we just put up the camera and acted along, trying to change the scenery as often as possible. Well, sometimes having fun is what you make of it yourselves!
