My 80-90's equipment
in Nostalgia | Friday, July 04, 2014 | 09:43

For keeping my sanity in order to function properly I had to dig out pictures and old manuals for all the good memories that the listed equipment gave and still gives me.

Not only that, but I will also try to purchase all of my previous electronics / Amiga equipment (via ebay) that was either lost or defective - just to make my childhood totally complete again and set for future childhood-ness to come :-)

Picture show my satellite dish (a really large one) connected to a PAL decoder + FilmNet decoder inside the house. The image was digitized with Vidi-Amiga + VidiChrome to get color.

My second camera, a JVC GR-60e VHS-C camera (which is damaged/thrown long time ago, but I managed in 2023 to find a working camera in a local thrift store for a very cheap price!

User Manual for my first owned VHS machine, called OCEAN GT-007. The machine is long gone, but I provide a PDF scan of the entire manual below. VHS still rules, no question about it!

I still have the carrying bag and the user manual in my collection.

My Audio Amplifier SONY F470 which served me for many years spewing out Amiga music in loud volume. The unit was given away a couple of years ago and I do not really care for that unit anymore.

My US-Robotics Courier V.32 biz fax with ASL. I had several ones of these, but my last original ended up defective. During 2013 I managed to find the exact same model in the local trash and it's still working. My plan is to try and connect this to Amiga, connect to a BBS and flow like the good old times again :-)

My original Sony TC-K370 cassette player used to make mix tapes back in the early 90's and also used to copy Commodore 64 tapes.

I still have it, and will replace a broken flat rubber band inside it in 2025!
