My collection of Microsoft XBOX Video Game Consoles
in Nostalgia | Monday, September 22, 2025 | 20:50

Thought I would just for my own personal reference write down in history the current XBOX (original), XBOX 360's models I own. These was either found free at trash places or purchased cheap in thrift shops during 2017-2022.

As documented more in detail on my My computer history post, here's some visual images to go along with that.

The first XBOX 360 I got, must have been around 2016 or so, a white XBOX 360 which I got from my cousin. Problem was it had the dreaded RED RING OF DEATH, and after a few futile attempts to make it stable (it worked for about 1 hour max), the entire thing was simply THRASHED - as these machines are just that.

Further during 2017, I found a original XBOX which worked great, along with a number of XBOX 360's (black models) during the following years, in which these are still beeing used as active game consoles and/or watching YouTube on them :-)

Throughout the years I even bought some second-hand accessories to these machines on EBAY, or simply picked with me every cable, box, game or controllers when I saw them at flee markets and/or thrift stores locally.

All of them works, unless noted.

2 more XBOX 360 (Slim Black) models I own will be posted with details and photos/overview towards end of September 2025.

XBOX Original PAL

K: 1.00.5101.01
D: 1.00.9560.01

Modified and runs UnleashX with internal HDD. It has two USB ports on the back (not sure if I did this to get power to something, or it was some kind of previous owner modification).

Manufactured 8 Sep 2003

S/N: 5069701 33705

XBOX Original PAL

K: TBD
D: TBD

Unable to get a picture on it, most likely bad A/V connector. Seems otherwise ok with power button and LEDS. However, the eject CD button does nothing and it starts blinking. Need further investigation. Has most likely an original HDD inside.

Manufactured 26 July 2003

S/N: 5179303 33005

XBOX 360 (white) PAL

Dashboard version: 2.0.17559.0
Unmodified, has HDD expansion on the side. Does not show any signs of RED RING OF DEATH.

In fact, as per ChatGPT responses this is considered extremely rare since it was the very early first edition of the Xenon based ones which has a high risk of turning into RED RING OF DEATH.

Manufactured 26 Oct 2005.
