Thought I would just for my own personal reference write down in history the current SEGA based machines I have, which at the moment are just SEGA SATURN NTSC model. This was found totally for free at a local e-waste during 2019.
Not much to say about this, only that it works great, but only regret is the fact its a NTSC model, which have crappy graphics and resolution, I prefer PAL :-)
Anyway, I bought an Action Replay cartridge for it, hacked it, so that I could play all the 360 CD's I have physically burned on it. In fact, during 2019 or 2020 I played through all of them during a couple of weeks. It was fantastic :-)
I never got to play around with any SEGA back in the 90's as far as I can remember. Nobody I knew had it, so giving this machine a chance after that many years was a true feel of lost nostalgia that never was.
It beats the crap out of any DUPLO cheap Nintendo that is for sure, it felt like a Amiga CD32 really - which of course are superior to anything.
I love the fact it not only takes on CD's, but also has a cartridge slot for
- Memory Expansion / Backup RAM
- Special Game Enhancements
- Debug / Development Use
