My collection of Intel and AMD CPU's

Over the years, just like with my other PC based collections, the range and amount of random loose CPU's have accumulated. Today, I thought was a good day to just at least scan all of them so its easier to find some if I need any for future projects.


Intel is listed first, followed by crappy AMD CPU's (I never liked and always avoided having a AMD motherboard and its CPU. Its just unstable and mostly crap all over).

A total of 36 loose CPU's that are 99% believed to work as many of these were pulled from my previous PC's, but also from a bunch of aged outdated trash or machines given to me as people upgraded throughout the years.

Just today, for instance, I decided to throw in the trash:
ASUS CROSSHAIR V FORMULA-Z motherboard (990FX chipset) from 2012 along with its crappy AMD CPU in the likes of AMD FX-8000 / FX-9000 series (Vishera, Piledriver, late Bulldozer era) which has a known "feature" of just freezing the Windows randomly. What a PIECE of crap. I got the motherboard and CPU as bonuses in a different motherboard/cpu/gfx card purchase (second-hand) I did back in 2023.

It will be a SHEER pleasure to throw both turds in the trash. Isn't it weird that even since the late 90's I always "felt" I had to avoid AMD based systems, and always did. Well, here we are 30 years later and the feeling still holds. What an epic revelation. Anyway, the CPU's listed below are way older and is probably fine, and they would indeed fit my AMD based motherboards - but thats for another day or sale :-)
