Random Star Wars related clippings from the 70's and 80's!
in Nostalgia | Saturday, October 28, 2023 | 12:06

In this post I will share a number of random clippings I did back when I was a kid, during the 80's. They are from random newspapers, magazines, even books, comic magazines, technically anything that said Star Wars on it I would cut out and save.

Well, after 36 years I took the time to scan them and present below. Most of the material are naturally in Norwegian language as I'm a Norwegian.

Thumbnails and larger images are available if you click on them, but I also added a PDF below (some have multiple pages, so don't miss out!) for you to investigate further on. I'll try my best to indentify at least the type of publication or guess work where I cut it out from.

Star Wars related clippings #1:
There are most likely from random color magazines, and I know for a fact that the biggest one was cut out of library book, haha.

Star Wars related clippings #2:
These are mostly out of "family" related magazines and spread gossip and such. We even got a dated on, 6th of April 1987

Star Wars related clippings #3:
Most likely from "family" related magazines where they spread gossip. I'm pretty sure that Star Wars toilet bottle are from the MAD magazines.

Star Wars related clippings #4:
Another mixed batch, from "family" magazines, but also actual commercial advertisement in our local newspaper for toys and cinema showing's in our local town!

Star Wars related clippings #5:
Clippings from teen and family magazines most likely. TOPP was a typical teen based magazine here in Norway.

Star Wars related clippings #6:
Not sure where this came from, most likely a english newspaper from a library.

Star Wars related clippings #7:
A story cut out of a typical "family" gossip magazine I believe. I could also just be a random page found in a magazine at the dentist office!

Star Wars related clippings #8:
There are XEROX copies I did from some books at school at the mercy probably from the principal, as they did not like we XEROX copied everything as paper = money.

Star Wars related clippings #9:
This was a sheet of paper that followed those sticker magazines, there is also a specimen of the actual sticker, on the back a face of Luke Skywalker was.

I used to own that orginal sticker album from the 80's, but I sold it in 2000 overseas on Ebay.

To complete my collection, I do remember I cut out and sent in an request for my missing stickers, hence why there is missing a piece of paper!

Star Wars related clippings #10:
This is a 4-page story, but its not from the original Star Wars comics, most likely its from Spiderman, Superman or some other comic magazine.

Star Wars related clippings #11:
Another one of these 4-page story, but its not from the original Star Wars comics, most likely its from Spiderman, Superman or some other comic magazine.

Star Wars related clippings #12:
This story came from a magazine we called "Det Beste" in Norway, and was a very neat popular magazine about everything. This appeared in the December 1977 issue!

I'm sure my mother didn't remember I cut it out, or else there would be hell to pay (about 36 years ago, haha).
