In the early 90's, I was thrilled to get my first HDD controller for Amiga 500 that was at the time running Workbench1.3, with 512KB CHIP and 512KB Fast.
Shortly after purchasing it second hand, problems started appearing and to cut a long story short, I soon thereafter switched over to a brand new A1200 with an internal HDD instead, as I experienced so many crashes and headaches over this box.
Since early 90's, the device was basically classified as TOTAL GARBAGE, and it wasn't until 2009 I started a small project to try and fix it "again". I somewhat managed, but after several weeks of headache, I just gave it up.
Years later, in May 2016, I took a FINAL dive into this rare and forgotten Harddrive Controller and dug up everything I could find, including success at bringing it back to life again, running on Amiga 500 with 1.3 and 2.1 Kickstarts!
This page will be a collection place of "everything" that are related to my Grand Slam which I have collected from various sources and also from my own work.
It should be noted that my IVS Grand Slam have been heavily modified with soldering points, cut metal, cut cables and tape strips where needed. If you want to see photos of a original one, just check my finding from old Computer Magazines (scans, reviews and more).
